Travel to Mt Cook / Aoraki National Park through beautiful farming countryside with views to the majestic Southern Alps.

At Lake Tekapo visit the solitary Church of the Good Shepherd that stands on the lake foreshore, before heading to Mt Cook Village.

Here you will be mesmerised by the alpine surroundings and the sight of Aoraki/Mt Cook, New Zealand's highest mountain. Spend time enjoying lunch (own expense) or exploring Mt Cook Village.

To take in the true splendour of the glaciers, book an optional scenic helicopter or ski plane flight over the National Park (weather permitting and at own expense).

In the afternoon we depart Mt Cook Village and return to Christchurch, retracing the journey taken this morning.
